1. Make sure to do your research.
There are usually numerous brands for any given product and it’s smart to make sure you choose the right one. Which has the most to offer with proven quality?
2. Know the child you are buying for.
Sometimes it’s not the price that determines how much the gift is loved. Make sure it’s something they are interested in. A few questions for the parents usually covers that knowledge.
3. Check to see if its age appropriate.
Most toys have an age suggestion. It can relate to small parts which area dangerous for young children or for the range of kids it appeals to.
4. If you are buying a product that will need to be shipped consider a gift card.
You can arrange with the parents or a relative ahead of time to have them buy the present in their city and save on shipping costs. A gift card can be small enough for an envelope in regular mail.
5. Don’t forget the accessories!!
The wrapping is always the first impression and it gives you a chance to have some fun with it bright bold colors, lots of tissue paper and maybe a singing card! Always double check to see if the product needs batteries, the biggest disappointment for a little one is to not be able to use it instantly.
